Make money matters public and encourage a culture of saving
Savings clubs are popular in countries with less developed banking industries, such as India. They're a great way to get people talking openly about money and supporting each other to make good decisions about saving. How can we take this idea and make it work in the UK - starting with Lewes District. It could be savings jars behind the bar in the pub, or a kit which piggy backs on reading groups or sports clubs... I don't have the answer but it would be great to get the input of people in Lewes to explore how the idea could be developed.
